GREENGER POWERSPORTS

Young trained riders take a spin around a closed course on a new electric dirt bike for kids.

Dirt bikes let riders speed over mud, sand, and rocks. Most are powered by gas engines. These engines release greenhouse gases that trap heat in the atmosphere. This causes climate change. But a new electric dirt bike for kids, created by Greenger Powersports and Honda, lets young people ride off road without polluting the air!

This new dirt bike, called the CRF-E2, is powered by an electric motor and a battery that stores energy. The bike can run for two hours before needing a battery recharge.

Electric dirt bikes need less maintenance than gas-powered bikes, says Doug Chapman, who works at Greenger Powersports. “This allows for more time riding and making memories,” he adds.
