Ready those Poké Balls! Two new releases in the fan-favorite series Pokémon called Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet are coming soon to Nintendo Switch.

Nintendo released the first Pokémon title for Game Boy in 1996. Since then, millions of fans have collected imaginary critters—called Pokémon—to battle, explore, and befriend. Each Pokémon is classified into a type based on the critter’s characteristics. The bar graph shows how many Pokémon belong to the most common types.

Bar Graphs

Bar graphs are visual displays used to compare categories of data. The bars can be arranged vertically (up and down) or horizontally (side to side). This vertical bar graph compares the number of Pokémon belonging to certain types.
